By car from Florence's Airport, it takes about 1.5 hours to get to Borgo Casa al Vento and 1/2 hour from Siena's railway station.

By Car
From Florence or Rome: Take A1 Highway (Milano-Napoli), exit at Valdarno and follow directions to Montevarchi and then take the road s.s.408 to Siena or Gaiole in Chianti. From the village of Gaiole in Chianti follow the directions for "Borgo Casa al Vento" and Barbischio. Before entering the hamlet of Barbischio, turn right and then follow the road for 1.5 km. CANCELLATION POLICY
From June 1st until September 30th, and on all Bank Holidays, if cancellation is made up to 7 days prior of arrival no penalties are applied. If cancellation is made within 6 days or later from arrival and for "No Shows", full payment is due.

For all other periods a penalty of 1 night is applied for cancellations made prior to 48 hours before arrival, and full payment is due for cancellations made later or for "No Shows"

This policy does not apply to group that will contract a special policy case by case

Beginning April 4th 2012 the comune of Gaiole in Chianti has introduced a "Tourism Tax", that consists of € 1.50 per day per person for a maximum of 7 days, excluding minors under the age of 14 years and people with disabilities.
